Ever since the juggernaut known as Avengers: Endgame broke hearts with the sacrifice of Tony Stark/Iron Man, fans have been wondering if the character would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When it comes to Marvel Phase 4 and 5 hopes and dreams, the upcoming origin stories of fan favorite characters could possibly leave room for an Iron Man appearance in there somewhere.

Now, there’s at least one confirmation that he will be back.
A passing comment makes Iron Man’s appearance sound legit
We won’t compare this to Tom Holland’s reputation for
leaking spoilers, but Jeff Goldblum is unknowingly racking up extra cool points
right now from MCU fans. He recently did an interview for BuzzFeed—while playing
with puppies—and answered fan questions with fervor. It’s hard not to
appreciate his candor and energy.
When he was asked about his character Grandmaster being in Thor: Love and Thunder, Goldblum volunteered some delectable details that confirmed a few things. He hopes that Grandmaster will appear in the new Thor film, but added he did visit Disney studios to reprise his role for a different Marvel series: What If…?
During his chat, Goldblum mentioned that he did voicework for one episode of the animated series and this particular one included Iron Man’s character. He said Robert Downey, Jr. would be doing voiceover work for it as well as Taika Waititi for Korg. Check it out around the 11:40 mark:

for Disney+, he explained that the stories would be based on some of what fans
read in the original comics. But there would also be appearances from some of

With so many storylines to play with, there is bound to be myriad crossover opportunities for members of the Avengers like Iron Man to meet up with Daredevil or another character. Maybe between now and then, Goldblum or Spider-Man’s Tom Holland will drop some more clues on who’s reprising their roles as voices for What If…?
